On the 21st of August Pukeariki Museum in New Plymouth is launching a new display focusing on the story of the last Taranaki kokako Tamanui. The display includes an interactive game aimed at children, up to date information about the work of the trust and a short film that shows the capture of Tamanui and how his descendents are being cared for at Tiritiri Matangi. There is also news of an upcoming childrens e book to tell the story of Tamanui and the return of his descendents to Taranaki.
